3 Days in Phuket: From Luxury Spas to Night Markets
Looking for the perfect mix of relaxation and nightlife? My three days in Phuket delivered exactly that. Here’s how to make the most of Thailand’s largest island, whether you’re seeking zen moments or world-class clubbing.
Day 1: The Journey & First Tastes
The journey to Phuket was… interesting. Picture being cramped on a ferry, finally drifting off to sleep, only to be jolted awake for a mid-ocean ferry transfer! But the views from the second ferry’s top deck made up for it.
Where to Stay

Checked into Lub D hostel – perfectly located for exploring the island. This hostel gives off party hotel vibes! Pro tip: Book in advance during high season!
First Day Eats
- The Coffee Club: Kicked off with an iced coconut matcha (182 baht) that hit all the right spots
- Prime Burger: Sometimes you just need a Beyond Burger (359 baht)
- Bangla Night Market: Ended the day with classic yellow noodles and Thai tea (160 baht)

Money-Saving Tip: We skipped the Phi Phi Islands tour (70 USD) – sometimes it’s worth waiting for better deals or alternative destinations!
Day 2: Birthday Celebrations & Night Club Adventures
Morning Fuel
- Twenty Two Cafe: Started with a gorgeous aรงai bowl(250 baht)
- Mini Mart: Grabbed my daily Yakult (9 baht) – at this point, it’s become a Thai travel ritual!
When Homesickness Hits
Sometimes you just need a taste of home, even in Thailand. For my friend’s birthday, we hit up McDonald’s for a Happy Meal (130 baht) – no judgment, we’re all human!
Night Market Magic

The Old Town Night Market was a highlight:
- Chicken kebabs (80 baht)
- Dessert feast: carrot cake, puff pastry, cheesecake, and brownie (all for 74 baht!)
- Pro tip: Use Bolt for reliable transportation (8 USD per ride)
Club Life
Ended the night at Illuzion nightclub – ranked #13 in the world! If you’re into clubbing, this is absolutely worth checking out. The production value alone is mind-blowing.
Day 3: Spa Day & Cultural Sights
Morning Luxury
Started the day at Breeze Spa in the Amari hotel – possibly the most beautiful spa I’ve ever visited. The massage was heavenly – sometimes you need to treat yourself!
Afternoon Adventures
- Grabbed fresh mango (30 baht) and my trusty Yakult (9 baht) for a quick snack
- Visited the Big Buddha (454 baht for transport) – it’s massive and the views are incredible!

Important Note
We witnessed a disturbing sight at an unethical elephant park near the Big Buddha. Please, please research and only support ethical elephant sanctuaries in Thailand. These magnificent creatures deserve better than chains and abuse.
Evening Wrap-Up

Ended up near Bangla Road (not my favorite spot) but found a great street market nearby with delicious chicken pita kebabs (120 baht).
